- Isac Brännström scored hattrick
- Luleå overturned 0-2 scoreline
- Luleå now sit top of Group A with 9 points, Jukurit in third with 3
Luleå Hockey clawed their way back into this game against Jukurit Mikkeli, coming back from 2-0 down to winning 4-3 and most importantly adding an extra +3 to their name in the Group A standings.
The Swedes now sit at the top of their group with nine points, whilst their Finnish counterparts sit in third with three.
Jukurit played well and noticeably improved on their 5-2 loss to the Swedes on Game Day 1. Niko Huuhtanen scored ten minutes into the game after some quick passing play from the Kovařčík brothers completely caught the Swedish defence off-guard.
The Finns then added goal #2 on the powerplay at the start of the second period and looked to be in control of the game. But a high-sticking call for Jarkko Immonen gifted the Swedes a powerplay opportunity that they didn't pass up, with Isac Brännström scoring his first of three at 33:23.
The third period saw three goals in the first five minutes, with Luleå adding two and Jukurit one to make it a 3-3 game.
Both teams upped the pressure and intensity for the final minutes, but it would be the Swedes who would ultimately find the back of the net one last time, thanks to who else than Brännström who tucked away a rebound puck from inside the crease at 53:12.
The remainder of the game saw Luleå dig deep and weather the storm as Jukurit pushed for a late equaliser. But all to no avail, as after 60 minutes of game time had passed, the final buzzer sounded to the tune of 4-3 to Luleå.
