Heading into this game there was a lot to play for as both the Aalborg Pirates and Jukurit Mikkeli were locked on three points with Sparta Prague in the Group A standings. Jukurit controlled the game from start to finish and wiggle free from Aalborg who are left bottom of Group A. 

It only took Jukurit two minutes to get on the scoreboard, with Niko Huuhtanen scoring a lovely solo goal, skating from the boards in the attacking zone to position himself perfectly in front of Aalborg netminder George Sørensen.

The Finns added goal #2 later on in the first period as Miikka Pitkänen scored a lovely backhand goal to double his side's lead before the first intermission. 

The first half of the second period saw Jukurit play two powerplays, even a 5-on-3 for a brief period, before scoring their third goal of the game at 29:28. They had one more chance to score on the man-advantage in the second half of the second frame, but to no avail. 

The third period saw no change in Aalborg's pace or attacking prowess and Jukurit were in no rush to change that. With the score locked at 3-0 for the visitors, the clock struck for the last time to give the Finns their second win of the season and a crucial three points.
