The winner of this year's NordicBet Most Valuable Player Award is Oceláři Třinec goaltender Šimon Hrubec.

Hrubec backstopped his team all the way to the CHL Semi-Finals, where Třinec eventually lost in a shootout against JYP Jyväskylä. He played 10 CHL games for the Czech team in this year's competition, conceding only 11 goals and saving 96.19 percent of the shots faced. He also recorded two shutouts.
