As we approach the Champions Hockey League Semi-Finals, it’s time to start voting for the most valuable player in the league. The five nominated candidates for the NordicBet MVP Trophy have been selected by an expert jury from around Europe.
The CHL has offered lots of exciting hockey throughout the season. But now with the final rounds of the tournament fast approaching, we want to focus on the players who have gone beyond, excelled and pushed themselves to the limit. Hence, it’s time, for the fourth consecutive year, to award the NordicBet MVP Trophy to the best player in the league.
The shortlist of five nominated players has been selected by an expert jury from around Europe. Now it’s up to the fans to select the three finalists by voting for their favourite at http://www.shlbloggen.se/chl-nordicbet-mvp-trophy-2017-18/. Voting will be open until the 10th of January, when the vote will be reset and start over to find the eventual winner.
The nominated players are:
- Fredrik Pettersson - ZSC Lions Zurich (SUI)
- Martin Bakoš - Bílí Tygři Liberec (CZE)
- Šimon Hrubec - Oceláři Třinec (CZE)
- Joel Persson - Växjö Lakers (SWE)
- Antti Suomela - JYP Jyväskylä (FIN)
This year’s jury consists of: Jan Šimek (hokej.cz, CZE), Stefan Wasmer (Eishockey News, GER), Matthias Müller (Slapshot, SUI), Johannes Bauer (laola1.at, AUT) Bo Lennartsson (Sports Director CHL), Sami Helenius (former NHLer, FIN) and Magnus Linder (Head of Sponsorship at NordicBet, SWE).
