Michael Špaček has been the king of goal scorers this season, and he's split some of them between two clubs after making a mid-season switch from reigning CHL Champions Genève-Servette to Semi-Finalists Sparta Prague.
The 27-year-old Czech forward was running riot in the Regular Season, picking up a spectacular 12 goals (7G, 5A) across the first phase of the competition for his former employers in reigning CHL Champions Genève. His speciality? How lethal he is on powerplays and in crucial game moments, backed up by not one, not two but a whole five powerplay goals and a game-winner to his name.
For Sparta, he made an immediate impact when he scored on his club debut in the Champions Hockey League against the Växjö Lakers and has recorded two points (1G,1A) in three games played. He also excels in discipline, as the former Frölunda Gothenburg and Tappara Tampere player has only racked up four penalty minutes in 11 games played. All in all, Špaček is the complete forward and he's proved that not just to us pan-European hockey fans, but everywhere his hockey career has taken him.
