Canadian goaltender Maxime Lagacé has been Färjestad Karlstad's clear choice between the posts this Champions Hockey League season and he's repaid their trust splendidly.
The 32-year-old has jumped on for all but two of the club's games and racked up over 540 minutes of game time! There's no clear choice of what to highlight when running through his stats in that time, as the ex-AHL and NHL goalie has made over 180 saves, let in just 14 goals (good for a 92.86% save percentage that ranks him as the very best of goaltenders to have played eight or more games ) and recorded two shutouts.
He's excelled in GSAX - the stat that quantifies saves above expected - where he's racked up an astounding 3.57! Again, that ranks him as the very best of goaltenders to have played eight or more games.
Oh, and have we mentioned he's been somewhat of a lucky charm for the Swedish side, as he's only tasted the bitter taste of defeat once this season?
