There are only two days left of Champions Hockey League Group Stage action and things get off to a thrilling start today! Nine action-packed games and only seven Playoffs places remaining, there are bound to be plenty of new qualifiers tonight.
And it's not just Playoff qualification up for grabs - teams are also on the hunt to secure top spot in the group standings because qualifying from top position gives you better seeding for the upcoming CHL Playoffs Draw on Friday 15 October. All in all, we have nine of the biggest games of the season ahead of us. Here's what to look forward to.
Starting us off are Frisk Asker vs JKH GKS Jastrzębie at 18:00. Both teams are confirmed out, but eager to end the 2021/22 season on a high.
Reigning Champions Frölunda Gothenburg face-off against IFK Helsinki at 18:05 in a do-or-die game for Playoffs hopes.
The Växjö Lakers host TPS Turku in a simultaneously played game. Turku are confirmed out, whilst Swedish side Växjö need to win big in order to stand a chance of qualifying.
Two of the biggest games of the evening are up next, as Tappara Tampere face-off against Skellefteå AIK also at 18:05 in a battle for top spot and possible Playoff qualification for the Swedes, whilst Sparta Prague travel to north Germany to face Pinguins Bremerhaven for a massive game.
The Czechs currently sit top of Group A, whilst Bremerhaven are just a point behind. Both are eying the Playoffs, but with Växjö breathing up their necks, they'll have to put on good showings and hope for the best.
Playoffs hopefuls ZSC Lions Zurich face-off against BK Mladá Boleslav at 19:45.
Unbeaten Fribourg-Gottéron host Group F rivals Leksands IF at 19:45 and HC Bolzano and Red Bull Salzburg line-up against each other at 20:20.
The stakes are high for the two ICE-HL sides who are neck and neck at 12 points each. The winner of this duel takes the Group H crown and better seeding heading into the Playoffs.
Rounding out a night of intense hockey is another juicy matchup - Rungsted Seier Capital face the Rouen Dragons at 20:30, as both teams look to secure Playoff qualification.
