After a three-week break from the Champions Hockey League, the action finally returns to rinks across Europe today, as Game Day 5 gets underway!
Only four teams have qualified for the Playoffs so far - Leksands IF, Fribourg-Gottéron, Red Bull Salzburg and HC Bolzano. For the other 28 teams in the CHL, these next two Game Days will be their biggest test of the season so far.
22 out of 32 participating teams still have a chance of taking one of the 12 remaining Playoff places and a chance to pick up points tonight could be the tipping point on their quest for qualification.
Czech side BK Mladá Boleslav kickstart the day's program at 17:00 as they host the ZSC Lions Zurich.
IFK Helsinki host Frölunda Gothenburg at 18:05, as both sides battle each other for top spot in Group B.
Leksands IF and Fribourg-Gottéron will also line-up against each other at 18:05. Both teams are 4-0 so far this season and tied at 12 points at the top of Group F. Whose winning streak will come to an end tonight?
Eisbären Berlin will try to keep their Playoff hopes alive against HC Lugano at 19:00.
One hour later, at 20:00, Red Bull Munich host EV Zug in Germany. The Swiss side are currently two points out of the Playoff positions so a win is a must if they are to qualify.
At 20:20, Red Bull Salzburg face HC Bolzano in another battle for top spot in Group H. Both teams are already qualified for the Playoffs.
Rounding out Tuesday's action is a 20:35 showdown in Group D between SønderjyskE Vojens and Rögle Ängelholm. The Swedes need points to qualify for the Playoffs, so this is bound to be an intense game.
