It's all on the line heading into this week's Champions Hockey League action with the six Tuesday games deciding six Quarter-Finalists!
None of the aggregate-scoring match-ups have a goal difference of more than three so everything can change in this round. Here's what's coming up.
Dynamo Pardubice will host Ilves Tampere in Czechia at 17:30 CET to get the ball rolling. The Czechs are two goals up in their series following a 3-1 win in Finland last week but this tie is far from over!
CHL action will also get underway 230km away in Ostrava when Vítkovice Ridera line up against the Lahti Pelicans at 18:00 CET. The First Game between these two was interrupted after 11 minutes played and cancelled due to an unplayable ice surface at the Isku Arena, awarding visitors Vítkovice a 3-0 forfeit win.
Sweden will also light up on our map as Skellefteå AIK host the third and final Czech team in the CHL Oceláři Třinec in a game set to start at 18:00 CET. The Czechs edged past Skellefteå by a single goal in their First Game, but as Třinec forward Jakub Jeřábek said: "This result is still open."
The Växjö Lakers have a three-goal lead heading into their Return Game with ERC Ingolstadt also set to start at 18:00 CET. The reigning SHL champions scored four last week but the Germans have enjoyed their return to the CHL so much that they will absolutely be looking to keep their journey alive - don't miss this game!
Färjestad Karlstad and EHC Biel-Bienne scored a combined eight goals in their First Game, with the Swedes taking home a two-goal advantage. But with two high-scoring teams, the score can change in a second so keep one eye on this game when it starts at 19:00 CET.
Rounding out a packed Tuesday evening is Adler Mannheim vs. Rapperswil-Jona Lakers at 19:30 CET. Swiss side Rapperswil pulled off one of the most surprising results of the round as the 16th-ranked team of the Regular Season faced 1st-ranked Mannheim and beat them 4-1!
Will the three-goal advantage be enough or will die Adler swoop in and fight their way back?
Here’s the full Tuesday schedule (all times CET):
17:30 Dynamo Pardubice vs. Ilves Tampere
18:00 Vítkovice Ridera vs. Lahti Pelicans
18:00 Skellefteå AIK vs. Oceláři Třinec
18:00 Växjö Lakers vs. ERC Ingolstadt
19:00 Färjestad Karlstad vs. EHC Biel-Bienne
19:30 Adler Mannheim vs. Rapperswil-Jona Lakers
Aggregate Score
The Round of 16, Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals are played in a home-and-away, two-game series format and are decided on combined aggregate score of the First and Return Game. Overtime and shootouts are used in the Return Game if the aggregate score is tied after regulation.
Overtime is played 10 minute sudden-death, 3-on-3. The team that score the first goal are declared the winner of the series. Should no goals be scored, a shootout (five shooters each team) will determine who advances to the next round.
