With the league champions crowned this past week in Slovakia, Denmark and Norway, only one more spot is left to be claimed for the 2019/20 Champions Hockey League season, and that’s in Finland.

The Liiga is now in its final series between Kärpät Oulu and HPK Hämeenlinna. If HPK win the series, they would win their first title since 2006 and qualify for the CHL for the first time ever. Of course, Kärpät have already qualified for the CHL, so if they win, the last spot in Finland goes to TPS Turku.
Kärpät won the first game, with game two set to go tonight. In the event of a sweep, the earliest the series could be decided is Friday, but it could potentially go another week beyond that.
