As all-time leader of points, goals and assists, there isn’t much Frölunda Gothenburg winger Ryan Lasch hasn’t achieved in the CHL, but the American has continued to find new ways to break barriers this season.
Lasch broke the 100-point milestone in the CHL earlier this season and did so in style when he registered a goal and five assists in Frölunda’s 10-1 hammering of Adler Mannheim in the Round of 16. Lasch modestly puts his success down to “just being a part of good teams” but his reputation in the competition remains unsurpassed, making him a worthy LGT MVP nominee again this year.
Lasch remains as pivotal as ever for Frölunda and his point production shows no sign of drying up this season as he leads the Swedish team’s charge towards what could be their fifth CHL title.
The 34-year-old continues to impact games with devastating effect as a playmaker, with four goals and 14 assists in 10 games. Lasch has four more points than his closest rival and will be looking to add to his remarkable tally in the latter stages of this season’s campaign.
Lasch might be an old name as far as individual accolades are concerned - but he continues to set the CHL alight.
