Finnish side Lukko Rauma secured their place in the Champions Hockey League Semi-Finals with an 8-7 aggregate win over a resilient Dynamo Pardubice.
After a 6-4 First Game, Lukko were in the driver's seat for the Return Game, but the Czechs meant business as they pushed them from the very start and came within a goal of tying the series.
Without a doubt one of the most important players of the game turned out to be Lukko's goalie Samuel Harvey, who made some huge saves to keep his side's lead.
"I think we could do better, we need to do better"Samuel Harvey, Lukko Rauma
"First of all - we had a really good opponent today," started Harvey, "we headed into the game with a two-goal lead on aggregate so all we needed to do was keep it between two or three."
Lukko are through to the Final Four, but they did lose the game, what were his thoughts on that?
"I think we could do better, we need to do better," explained the 25-year-old Canadian, "the first 20 minutes were a little sluggish from us but it's all a huge learning experience and we're going to take a lot from this game."
Harvey made a huge 39 saves and was the key player of Lukko's Return Game, did he get all the help he needed from his defence?
"Yeah I did," he replied instantly, "during the intermission, I told the guys I need them to keep blocking the shots and taking care of the rebounds - I'll make the saves. And we did that perfectly."
With a 93% Save Percentage and some amazing saves to match, it doesn't get better for the Lukko goalie who'd only jumped on for two CHL games prior to the Tuesday game. How would he rate himself?
"I'm really happy with my game, I think Lebe (Daniel Lebedeff) has played great for us so far and I was happy to step in and do my part," he conlcuded.
