The 12 qualifying spots allotted to the top two regular-season finishers in the CHL's six founding leagues have all been awarded. With spots also going to 2016-17 CHL winners Frolunda Gothenburg, Continental Cup winners Nottingham Panthers and British EIHL champions Cardiff Devils, 15 of the 32 spots for the 2017-18 season were filled prior to the start of the domestic league playoffs. A total of 17 spots are to be filled from the playoffs of both the Founding Leagues and Challenger Leagues. Read below to find out who's already qualified, and who's in position to qualify next.

CZECH REPUBLIC (4): Bili Tygri Liberec, Ocelari Trinec, Kometa Brno, Mountfield Hradec Kralove.
SWITZERLAND (4): SC Bern, ZSC Lions Zurich, EV Zug, HC Davos.
GERMANY (3): Red Bull Munich, Adler Mannheim, Grizzlys Wolfsburg.
AUSTRIA (3): Vienna Capitals, Red Bull Salzburg, KAC Klagenfurt.
